Angie, already posted an apology on your other thread as I came in late and put my foot in it. So sorry to hear about poor Merlin but what an accomplishment to you to have kept him happy and loved for 23 and a half years. You should be very proud and Merlin was obviously a very lucky boy to have had you there for him. Jan x |

I moved a couple of 'patio fruit trees' which had been neglected since my Dad was ill and which my Mum had taken no notice of since his death nearly two years ago (doesn't time whizz by? It feels much more recent than that). So, even though we're not really allowed trees on the allotments I transplanted them to my allotment. This was at the time of Merlin's passing and Chester's disappearance. I told Angie that the apple tree would be in remembrance of Merlin's life. Well, it has survived the upheaval and I hope the current blossom is a portent of good crops and health for the future. So, not a stunning tree, but hopes for the future |

Thanks so much DM for posting those lovely pictures. I am very pleased that your Dad's little tree has survived and is putting out hopeful blossoms. It's a lovely tribute to my dear old boy, who is with me every day. |
