Do you feel that the legislation is a good thing as is, or would it be better linked to, say, having a valid registration as a breeder? (Is that perhaps what the suggested change is? I know it's proposed but not what's in it.) I can see that following the dangerous wild animal regulations would be very expensive and quite an obstacle-course for a serious breeder. I can also see that something needs to be in place to keep Joe Bloggs from breeding half-cheetahs and selling them as "pets" for a hefty sum (or even "just" keeping the breeding-stock and kittens).
