Re: Quirky behaviours

I know this started out as a quirks thread but I'm sure we would all love to hear more of our cat stories. Long or short I think they are all great to hear - so come on folks, keep them coming.

Loved the tale of Sid .... "serious washing" - that's certainly a very good description of a typical cat behaviour!

Re: Quirky behaviours

Dylan will roll over on his back and start purring if someone so much as looks at him. When it's raining and he's out, he will NOT look for shelter, instead he will sit next to the house and would much rather get wet, he doesn't mind having baths (he thinks the water needs beating up so he'll splash around giving the bathroom a bath as well )

Re: Quirky behaviours

I have two cat's and they're so different, each with their own little quirks. George is a big softie with an extra loud purr, which he seems to do practically all the time. He has a thing about bags and boxes and loves to play hide and seek. Its so funny when he's hiding and he thinks you can't see him. He prefers to drink from a running tap rather than his water bowl.

Milly is very highly strung and reserved. She doesn't like you stroking her, but loves it when you put your face near her and she rubs round it. She loves her food and tries to make sure she gets George's share as well as hers. When they have a mad half hour, its hysterical.

Re: Quirky behaviours

Why are all Queens Divas??!!! lol
The poor Toms of this world no wonder they are Mummys boys. Denis also like to drink from a running tap, I heard a long time ago it is because they dont like their whiskers going in the water (which they do in a water bowl)

Re: Quirky behaviours

Diva certainly describes Milly! I did hear something similar about them preferring to drink from taps, however George does have another reason. When he drinks from his bowl he puts his front paw in to check the level of the water first because he has a slight squint and if he's not careful he ends up putting his nose in the water lol. With his squint and extra long "fangs" he's certainly not the George Clooney of the cat world, but I love him!!

Leia does that thing about testing the water level with her paw occasionally!
