Didn't think of adding the cats...cute! Onyx had Fancy Feast Ocean Whitefish (she eats early), Leia will have Fancy Feast Shredded White Meat Chicken with Garden Greens.

Venison, juniper and red wine casserole out of the freezer and mashed potatoes. Sounds very grand but it's not. Other than the wine it's peasant food really - the venison is very cheap (and free range/organic/non GM/humanely reared etc) and a little goes quite a long way.
I was a little apprehensive about eating Bambi after 15 years of veggie-ism, but declare him tasty and PC.

well I'm just about to cook two meals one for me and one for his nibs

I'm having jacket potato with tuna & sweetcorn

his nibs macaroni cheese

at least we are both having the same drink a glass of rioja

Been there, done that! Often did it while my Dad was alive; he liked things I didn't and vice versa......

Peasant food is good eating! I learned to cook lots of inexpensive tasty dishes when I first bought the house and money was tight......rice and beans, Tuscan bread soup, pasta i fagioli, zucchini parmesan ....could go on and on.

Home made Shepherds Pie for us today (yesterday we had Fish & Chips)

Tomorrow will be chicken and Reggae Reggae sauce and Cous Cous.
