Venison, juniper and red wine casserole out of the freezer and mashed potatoes. Sounds very grand but it's not. Other than the wine it's peasant food really - the venison is very cheap (and free range/organic/non GM/humanely reared etc) and a little goes quite a long way. I was a little apprehensive about eating Bambi after 15 years of veggie-ism, but declare him tasty and PC. |
