Re: Litter training Princess Freya

well,I am not liking doing it one bit, but have brough a cage from argos and put princess in it, left door open for while. put her in while i went out. When i let her out she pooped by the back door this time.

I really dont know where i'm going wrong, but have a feeling she is never going to be fully litter trained, and it's no fun watching your step everywhere you go.

Still, we'll try this see how we go.

got some of the kitten training spray from a friend who ahs some left, but thats not doing any good either

Re: Litter training Princess Freya

I remember when Ninja was pooping in the hall we were at our wit's end, and there were times when I thought he would just never be litter trained. With him, it ended up being so that once he was allowed to go out and come in at his own leisure (he always stays behind the houses and only wanders about 3 yards that way <---- and no further). It stopped immediately.

There's a solution out there for PF, I know there is - and I'm sure you'll find it.

Re: Litter training Princess Freya

One thought - doesnt the mother teach the kittens how to litter train? Whats gonna happen when the kitties come along and they have no one to teach them? Or is that me just thinking the kittens would copy their mother>????

Re: Litter training Princess Freya

Probably you have done this already but I put India's poop into the litter tray so she got the idea of where to go. You can get a special de-odouriser for using on your carpets etc. from canine-chemists,(that's all you need to google for them) its called No Smell, and Petcetra.co.uk/ also have a selection of de-odourisers. They will take several days to work but should make your carpet less attractive to the cat, Logoes
