My back garden. A small north-facing town garden with a huge magnolia which I adore; except at this time of year when it drops its leathery leaves everywhere!!! We are contemplating completely paving it as the grass NEVER dries out and with Dominik's tricycle antics it's been reduced to even more of a quagmire than usual. Hence I was quite interested to see the gravel/paving/decking garden. Does the gravel tend to get walked into the house? I love it but hubby is a bit anti it for that reason. Also do your cats use it as a litter tray

My front garden! This is a springtime shot and show my dwarf cherries in all their glory! We live on a busy road and planted to garden up to create a sound buffer, privacy and colour. I adore it . . . it needs quite a lot of maintentance and regulary turns into a mad jungle. You're seeing it just after quite a heavy pruning session . . .

The answer to both is no. I think the secret is to get the larger size - if you use pea gravel or soemthing that size the cats are likely to flock from miles around!!!

It certainly doesn't get walked in.

When it is just put down it's very dusty and you have to give it a good hosing - that's all.

Decking is a bit slippery when wet (not just damp) and very slippery with frost on it.

However I would think the plusses of the little one being able to play out on dry winter days make it well worth looking at.

Your front garden is fab - lots of work has gone into that, hasn't it?
