Re: Where's CJ?

Pleased to hear everything's (kind of) all right!!! Hurry on back soon - we're looking forward to your return

Just a thought, when I was tired constantly it turned out to be an overactive parathyroid which only came to light when it deposited enough calcium around my body to close-on kill me!!!

Have you been checked for those? They're tricky little so-and-sos and nowhere near as easy to diagnose as ordinary thyroid. The only reason I mention it is the specialist told me that often symptoms are mis-diagnosed as ME!!!!!!

Glad to hear from you, Carly; hope all goes well now. Never heard of pay as you go dialup; sounds awful! I have dialup but it's just a flat monthly fee...I'd be bankrupt if I had that lol

Re: Where's CJ?

doing fine here.
Not letting things get me down. Hubby and kids are being really supportive and keeping me going. to be honest after years of fatigue, aches n pains etc it's nice to be heading towards a diagnosis.
I've had (so far) blood tests done, too many to name lol,. had a head ct to check it nothing to do with my stroke, i get my bp and diabetes checked regularily anyway, basically to diagnose CFS i been told they have to rule out diagnosis of everything else possible first lol

I do get my days when I cant leave the house as am physically too tired. but the boys are wonderfull, and hubby stays here as often as he can to help.

Also I have a new lap friend, princess! over the past few weeks she has really become my little lap cat, and loves laying on my lap for belly rubs and ear tickles. And of course Mr d gets jealous and tried to squeeze on my lap too.

Am sure i'll soon be back.....

thanks yola, that's something i can discuss with my consultant next time I go back to the hospital.
Basically my symptoms for almost four years have been
frequent fatigue, though not constant.
Also if i have a good day and do stuff a few days later i'm back to the fatigue. A lot of the time I cant even leave the hosue as feel so worn out.

aches and pains in joints, sometimes so bad i cant even eat a meal in one go cos lifting a fork makes my arms ache.even holding the hone up makes my arms hurt. Getting bathed and dressed is often a chore/

I also get frequent headaches and migrains, sore throats and cold like syptoms with no cold.

Also lack of concentration, insomnia, (no suprise i cant concentrate then) or i want to sleep all the timl, depression, and anxiety.

It's kinda nice to think I'm not just a hypocondriac and that there is something wrong that i can now work on.
taking vitmains with iron, calcium, glucosamine, and a few prescribed things.

Determined not to let it get me down.

of course it could all just be old age
