Re: Kitten search update

Thought I'd got him! (again )
Just doing my sweep of the various websites offering kittens.
Just appeared - 9 week old ginger male (!) within an hour of me (!!) for sale because baby is too rough ( ).
Looked again, re-read it - yes, all fab
Glanced at the price wanted - £120!
For goodness sake! That can't be right - over £100 for a moggy? - and a second hand one at that.

Oh what a shame - so close again

That's a silly amount of money DM. I doubt if they will sell him for that.

Re: Kitten search update

Could you not ring and tell them what you would be prepared to pay for him? And say that the average price for a moggy is a lot less than £120??

Re: Kitten search update

surely that's not right for a moggy? I wonder if it was a misprint DM?
Might be worth giving them a ring just to check?

Agree with you all.
See this is where I get on my high horse and say that I wouldn't even want to meet someone who thinks so little of an animal. So I'm not really into contacting and offering a sensible sum. Did bounce it between all 3 of my brain cells but no - don't like that puss-mom - don't want to meet her. Cutting off my nose to spite my face maybe but I'll just sit tight and wait for my boy.

No, it was there twice - once £120, once £120 or reasonable offer. They've obviously spent money cos the price includes bed, scratch post, litter tray, some foor, flea treatment etc, BUT ............ just doesn't sound good to ask for that much.
PS - he's not vaccinated - that could have made it more reasonable

Re: Kitten search update

Oh I see, well it sounds like they are trying to recoup the cost of everything spent then Good luck to them if they expect to get that much money for a moggie
