I recall once being asked by my Dad as a child would we all give something for a family who had a fire or something I can't remember what. We hadn't got much - in fact very little. I think thats a lot of common sense honestly.

Edited to add I gave my petite typewritter my pride and joy and do you know what for Christmas that coming year I got an electric one.
