When to let a kitten outdoors?

At our vet vaccinations are £47 I think.

Thanks everyone for your comments and help on this one, it really is interesting to hear the difference in vet prices. As someone mentioned above, of course there is no price on our beautiful cats' lives.

Do you give your cat/kitten the flu/enteritus AND leukaemia vaccinations? Or just flu/enteritus? It seems that it is the leukaemia one that is particularly pricey as a course of the other two is about £45 (including a kitten check) which is much more affordable. The leukaemia one is another £30 on top.

Leukaemia is only really necessary for cats that have access to the outdoors. All mine have Leukaemia for the first year and then flu/enteritis there on..

Well I decided to have them all done after all that, I decided that I simply couldn't be money concious when it comes to the life of our new kitty. He had the first one done today and the second one in 3 weeks time. Total cost £75, but hey, he is worth it
