Re: Roverian update - the strenuous life of an outdoor cat.

Very sorry to hear that Rover has been involved in border wars. Have you managed to catch sight of "the enemy"? Rover won't like being kept in when he's better.

Re: Roverian update - the strenuous life of an outdoor cat.

I don't know which of the cats he had a disagreement with. I think it may be the tom. If the neighbours' cat thinks she's in season again (she's been neutered years ago, no-one told the cat ^^), Rover may have tried to defend her against the enemy like he did last time. Last time we were outside when he was, and he wasn't out for very long at a time. I hope that that is it, so soon the tom won't have as strong an incentive to barge in on Rover's turf, and Rover won't be as tetchy because his big sister is acting oddly.

Sounds as if he may have been trying to be chivalrous! Poor Rover - hope the tom came off worse and will be scared off bothering the neighbour's princess (can't call her a queen, can we if she's been "done"?)

Seeing that the tom is wide, smooth and only scared of people, I doubt it. : / Rover will just have to learn to be a less paws-on gentlecat. ^_^
