Re: The haunting!!!

Ooh scarey. Sure it will turn out to be a mixture of weather, old house noises, imagination and hopefully no more than thet.

Be interesting to get the owners feedback.

Wouldn't be a couple of kids trying to freak you out?

Re: The haunting!!!

The house sit owners called me today and have explained why the doorbell has been going off randomly. There is an elderly person next door and the nurses who visit have some sort of electronic key which sets the bell off. Only rwo more nights there and I'm sure I'll sleep much better now

Re: The haunting!!!

Well that's me home from Graveyard Cottage and looking forward to a good nights sleep in my own bed with the kitties.
The doorbell was resolved but other things I didnt mention to the owners coz I didnt want them to think I was plain mental
Never got to the bottom of the footsteps or the knocking and the other thing I forgot to mention was the bedside lamp....
It is one of those lamps that has a switch on the cable, which is what I used to switch it on an off from but several times it had been switched off at the wall. First few times I thought that I must have done it and just not remembered doing it but I know that I didnt coz i am a bit of a lazy **** with these kinds of things.
Anyway, home now and can relax ahhhhhhhh

Re: The haunting!!!

Wow Elaine! I respect your nerve, I am spooked just reading about it and looking over my shoulder as I type and this is happily not a spooky house! (the only things that go bump are when we get a tiny mouse visitor behind the kitchen sink now and then.) Glad your house sit is over!! Time for you to relax. Jan x

Re: The haunting!!!

You are one brave woman Elaine. Nice to think of you having a good restful night's sleep in your own home. Weird about that lamp.

Re: The haunting!!!

Not brave at all Angie, I was hiding under the bed clothes most nights and almost ran from there screaming in my pj's one night. Brave no, not me, just bloody stupid.
