Re: Something Fishy..

Mags, when I was a little kid, got a chick for Easter (didn't know way back then that it wasn't a good thing) , and he grew up of course into a rooster. When he started to crow, someome complained (chickens in the City are illegal); a policeman showed up at the door to my Mom"s embarrassment and said get rid of it...and Mom and I almost died when my Dad said something about fried chicken!!! (Took him a long time to live that one down!). Anyway, Henry went to live with the egg man, supposedly to live a long happy life on the farm, but probably ended up as ....fried chicken...so, I really don't advocate eating pets....

Good story Eileen ....... poor Henry wasn't doing any harm in the town, was he
I wouldn't have liked the thought of him ending up as fried chicken though

Re: Something Fishy..

Technically, he was illegal just being in the City, and as he crowed loudly at dawn it annoyed someone...hence the policeman at the door! Funny, I could never even contemplate eating Henry, but had no qualms about holding the chicken at my Grandma's so she could chop off its head...stewed chicken and dumplings for dinner...guess kids can compartmentalize the difference between pet chickens and food chickens ....

Re: Something Fishy..

Mad? us? dont know what you mean!

Its just that Moli has Parrots, for fish, and they are babies, too much of babies to have babies, but they have, had babies that is, or have they? See Moli likes to confuse us, with aliens and things, and things of a strange nature, like things disappearing on RAF ranges or something if I remember correctly. We worry about our Moli at times we do.
Dawn.
