Re: Guess what???

Great to hear that it went well Elaine! Why doesn't Graham think the job is suitable for you?

Re: Guess what???

Well done on the (potential) offer, Elaine - I bet you did really well at the interview. However, do listen to Graham rather than just dismissing his opinion - he may be looking at it far less emotionally - is a driving job really for you???

It may well be, but do think long and hard as jumping jobs every few months doesn't look good on your CV.

Re: Guess what???

Well done Elaine!!

Trust Graham ...that's men for you!! The thing is it will get you out and about meeting people. I expect they would give you an A to Z of Aberdeen to find your way around. It's probably completely different from anything you have done before so that will be good for you.

When would they want you to start?

I know what you mean Yola and I am listening to him, it's just that he always manages to take the wind out of my sails Now thats not really true as he does think I would make an excellent pet sitter.
He is talking from the point of view that he used to be a delivery driver and thinks a) I am perhaps not a very confident driver when it comes to distances. b) That it can be very stressfull i.e. parking and possibly blocking traffic, people getting irrate etc etc and c) He thinks the physical side of running up and down stairs with other peoples shopping all day might be too much for me to be able to handle.
Like I said though, will wait and see what the proposal says before i make my final decision.
It was a possitive interview though and did boost my confidence.

I'm so pleased to hear that it went well Elaine.

I can understand Graham's concerns - but at the end of the day only you can make the final decision on whether it is for you.

Good luck with what you decide and keep us posted, chum.
xx

Re: Guess what???

Pleased it went well Elaine, in the end the decision is yours, I am sure Grahams has your best interests at heart and you have to be 100% sure this job is for you. What about driving in the winter, snow, ice, would that bother you?

Good luck with your decision and let us know what you do decide.

Re: Guess what???

They said if the roads are bad in winter they cancel the orders as they dont want to put any body at risk of an accident.

Not as a rule Mags but there have been days when I have had to do water changes in 18 fish tanks and have felt it when I got home.

Re: Guess what???

If we just throw suggestions etc at you, it may give you an idea what you may have to endure with this job......then give you a clearer picture of what to expect
