I assume he looks after all the dolls that are brought on set by the young actors etc

Other than that - no idea

Is it something to do with wheeling scenery, llghts, etc. around the set?

No probs with the robin Q, I use American stuff here sometimes.

In her opinion DM is closer to the correct answer than I am. Personally I think she's probably right about that.
