Thanks for that! There was a lot of work on this garden. The soil was very poor so each bed had to be dug out and replenished with good soil before planting. All the existing originally was 1 x dead cherry and 1 x shrub that I moved to the front wall where it is more than happy.

We've only had a few casualties; for some reason conifers refuse to grow in the front - I've had 4 die on me so have given up on them We've been in the houe for 8 1/2 years now and we've done the garden very gradually (time and cost being a primary factor in that decision )

Re: Your Garden Pics..

WOW!!

That will teach me to not check in for a few days!

~~DM: What a magical transformation! Just fantastic!~~

~~Kazz: LOVELY flowers. I am soooo jealous! If I tried that here the German Shepherd would either:
a. pee on the plants
b. trample through the plants
c. first pee and then trample the plants!

~~Yola: Beautiful garden!

You have all given my little chickadee brain some ideas what to do over here in the spring.

More pics please!

Here goes! I am going to shame myself!! Any tips welcome! Here is my back garden! As you can see, the lawnmower doesnt get much use and the shed is just about to fall down!
The good thing is that it is a total suntrap and almost totally private!

That is £400 worth of turf! I used to have chickens and ducks and not a single blade of grass! I think the chicken poop has been good fertilizer though! The grass grows so fast!!!!!!!!!

Re: Your Garden Pics..

Yola your garden looks great really good I would go with maybe paving and possibly decking especially with a little one on a trike (can't see him cycling through gravel) but maybe in certain area's.

But your front garden looks great

Samwise your garden looks great if you want to hide rather than replace the shed how about putting sopme freestanding trellis up and grow climbers up? Or sweet peas?
