Re: I'm back...

Sorry for the late reply, am very glad to hear that you have found a nice place and that you and the animals are getting settled. Look forward to seeing the pics when you post them.

Am also releived that you dont need the back up as I dont think the van could withstand another transatlantic crossing

Re: I'm back...

Hi, there! Yup, I'm mostly settled. Just a few things here and there to take care of but I have the majority of things unpacked and put away.
The kitties are doing great. Kuan Yin was freaked out the first night but by day two she was playing and settled. Solomon and Hestia were happy with the place from Day One! There's several good windows they enjoy around here..
The ferrets are laid back. As long as they have their things and their Mama they are fine wherever..to them, it's just new scents and sights to explore.
I'm gonna vacuum a bit and then upload some pics soon..
I'm really loving this place. Saturday was exhausting and that night me and Trin had to go back to the house and drop off the uhaul down the street and it gave me a chance to do a final walk through and say goodbye to the house. Some tears were shed. Trin is so very supportive and respectful of K's memory and our love. He held me and talked me through it. Sad but necessary. It was like the final closure I needed. I already feel at peace here.

Re: I'm back...

P.S.
It occurs to me I didn't show you all the area where we scattered K's ashes...a river we used to go to down the road from his house...

the person I am standing with is me and K's very good friend, Irv, who was like a father to him.

Re: I'm back...

I am so glad that you have found this huge strength and purpose to move on, with Trin's support too. You deserve loads of happiness Tink. Glad to hear that the furkids have settled in and that you all love your new home.

Thanks for sharing the photos of the special place where you scattered K's ashes - a river seems a really good place indicating his onward journey and yours.

What a beautiful place for the ashes. I'm so happy things are going well now and you're having some closure.
