A Galanthophile is a serious collector of snowdrops and the more that can gather together in one place the better. The ‘disease’ can be termed Galanthophilia. During February each year collectors of snowdrops hold open days for fellow collectors to come in and look at the flowers. Come rain, snow or shine Galanthophiles will kneel down to look at the smallest differences in each species or named variety. |
