Glen Miller was correct. Major (Alton) Glenn Miller’s plane went missing on December 15, 1944, presumably over the English Channel (no wreckage or bodies were ever found on land or sea) after he left England to fly to Paris for a Christmas show they were doing for the Allied forces there who had recently liberated the city. |
