Hills K/D is disgusting. Winston ate it for a short time but prefered the Walthams renal food.
Just a note of caution, for Beauty to only eat dry buscuits may compromise her kidneys further and in a shorter time. Ideally for a cat with failing kidneys, wet food is always considered best due to the water content.
If you can get her to eat wet food, its also a good idea to add a little water to it also. Its important to try to get her fluid intake up as CRF cats cannt retain enough fluids which is why they are prone to constipation.

She drinks out of the bird bath a LOT!

Last night Beauty started yow-ing again.

First time I think it was because she didn't know where I was, (I was falling asleep in bed - late at night)

Second time Beauty was in the same room as me, getting comfortable to go to sleep herself and yow-ed again!

Have they tested her blood pressure? I ask because my Winston began yowling and it turned out to be mostly down to his bp being too high.

I don't think the vet has tested her blood pressure...

I'll check in Beauty's health book.

Should the yowling continue, it may be an idea to ask the vet to check it. My poor old boys head must have been pounding bles him, but we got it under control. Is she on meds such as fortekor or is she just on the prescription food only?

She's on prescription food and some anti hairball stuff (which looks a bit yucky but Beauty seems to love it! She'll willingly lick it straight out of the tube!)

Might also be an idea to talk with your vet about using fortekor.
