I do hope that neutering will be the answer for Squiffy. He seems to be a cat of two parts - quite a Jekyll and Hyde. He bit me again last night, not badly, seems to be struggling in himself and I guess that's all down to hormones. Poor boy - I still hope he can be "sorted" and become a happier cat. |

Remember though Angie, he may well have been a loner for quite some time now, it's only to be expected that he wouldn't just fall right into a family from what he's used to. He will have his guard up as he's perhaps not been accustomed to all this 'home life' for a while, I do hope the neutering helps settle him. He sounds a lovely cat 'deep down'. |

sounds like hormones... he still has his bits so he's attempting to coup so he can be the alpha cat...even if you dont keep him Angie he will probably be a lot nicer to all concerned in the neighbourhood once his bits are lopped off.. |

My Tommy was the lean mean fighting machine around here before he moved in with me and and had his bits sorted..now even the 18 month old kitten from next door will come into the house and attack Tommy. ...play fighting.. and Tommy lets him..he has turned into a big softy |

***STOP PRESS*** Squiffy's owner has been found! She comes from the Big Village a couple of miles away. Her friend saw my poster opposite the pub yesterday and the owner phoned this morning whilst I was asleep. OH spoke to her. Squiffy is 3 years old and she saw him being born. Just got to arrange keeping him here and phoning her to come and get him and talking to her about getting him neutered. He has been missing for about a month. Apart from the neutering bit (I will PM you Kazz) I am overjoyed. This is the best news for Squiffy and will put my mind at rest and not disturb my two lovely happy cats. |
