Dr. Seuss! (CM Eugene the Jeep was a funny little creature, I think he was telepathic; could locate things by saying "jeep" and bending down ...giving away my age here!!)

I sort of remember that - didn't remember the name of the character, just this little creature with a big nose saying "jeep"!
