Re: Merlin's operation

I don't actually think it's rough or sharp, it's just the edge of the collar and the angle that it has to sit on Merlin's neck. He goes for his post op check tomorrow, so I will ask the vet to look at it. I'm afraid that if I take it off, I'll never be able to get it back on the poor old lambkin.

Re: Merlin's operation

Update for Merlin's kind friends. HE'S HAD A POO!!!!

I praised him and said he'd been such a good boy, he could have anything in the whole world that he wanted. I said that I'd even buy him an Aston Martin if he wanted ..... d'you know, I'll swear he smiled at me! Probably thought what a daft woman!

Re: Merlin's operation

We're also back from the vet after Merlin's post operative checkup. All is well and the incision is coming along nicely. The vet has put some tape around the edge of the collar next to Merlin's neck, which should help cushion it a bit.

Next Friday, all being well, the stitches will come out!

I could try to get a photo of the patient with his collar on - not sure if that is something we'd all like to see though. Do let me know.
