tink aka foofter rat 09/09-13/6/11tink aka foofter! was very much boss of the cage! she didnt like me being in there or cleaning her shelves, or even close to the doors! thats where she got the nickname foofter from  she was a good alpha, and although she didnt like me at the best of times, looked after all her sisters. she was a champion nest builder making it nice and cosy for all. she had a very cheeky side, she would often come up and nip me a few times to see what reaction she could get out of me! she was very sensitive while on heat, i had to tickle her bum and shed bounce away then shed come back again, and again... and if i didnt then i got a wee 'hoi!' nip!. a few weeks ago i noticed she just wasnt herself, looking at her symptoms they all fitted a pituarity(sp?) tumour  i knew this wasnt good so got her on meds straight away but they didnt do a world of good for her she was quite stable last week but over the last few days i've been having to syringe water into her and she would only take a small amount of soft food, and wander aimlessly around. she'd lost too much weight. she forgot she didnt like me so i made sure i caught up on cuddles  it just wasnt fair for her anymore so we made a trip to the vets earlier. a month ago just before her symptoms appeared  pea fishing fun sleep tight my wee foofter, you were quite a lady, you will always be remembered and loved :love:

What a shame she lost her battle - hope there are lots of pea fishing ponds at The Bridge little girl. RIP. So sorry Lynz. |
