Re: happy hogmany!

Morning Pamela - it's very gloomy and windy here, wet later but sounds as if it will clear through for the usual fireworks at mid-night. Thank you for your kind thought.

At least we will be prepared for possible celebrations at our local pub which is not far enough away and so will have the dogs hopefully protected from the whiz-bangs and flashes and turn up the TV to drown the noise. Poor Monty suffered so last time.

Dora was a little star on her first walk with other dogs yesterday. It was a very windy walk down at West Wittering but she was so good and there were many willing arms to carry her when she'd had too much. Monty was also a very good guardian and soon went to guide her back when she was unsure which way to go. Toileting getting easier, just need to find a better way to settle her at night. Covering her crate seemed to work for a couple of nights but last night she howled and I didn't go to bed at all!

Have a lovely New Year's Eve or Hogmanay to our Scottish members - all best wishes for 2013.

Re: happy hogmany!

Cold, gloomy, windy and rainy here. A day for staying indoors. Cats are snoozing - particularly Ripsy who inadvertently got locked into a store cupboard for a couple of hours Spellings, piano practice and creative writing done with the boys, and now we'll sit down and watch The Sound of Music.

OH is doing belly pork for dinner and the boys are adamant that they will see midnight in.

Pamela, I envy you the traditional Scottish Hogmanay. One day I WILL spend new year in Scotland.

Angie; West Wittering . . . My favourite beach. Especially the wide, doggy-friendly bit at the end.

Have a great night all. I am staying put here watching tv and doing nothing but resting my knee with frozen peas on shortly to use the other catsey advice of the gel.
