Re: Wednesday 3rd

Hi Kazz hope you have managed to get some sleep. I have no idea what's going to happen on Monday with my sister. I suspect they are waiting for the swelling to go down before deciding what to do. I'm working today but have no voice. Don't have a sore throat really just no voice. I've previously had laringitis (sp) so im hoping its not that! Will have np voice come 6pm so OH will be happy

Hope everyone has a good day x

Re: Wednesday 3rd

Hi Kazz and Pamela - a grey day here but not cold. OH has gone to play golf and left me in charge of the doggies! Dora has already chewed the cable to the rising chair, so that's now disconnected. I told her I didn't like her and she's calmed down and is in fact asleep on the cat bed under my desk here, which is very good as I can keep an eye on her! We are spraying bitter apple spray on everything she can lay her teeth on .... Monty was exceptional I think in that he didn't destroy anything when he was a pup - Ms Dora is a little chewing machine.

Kazz - we are not giving in to her at night and have taken advice from other experienced lurcher owners. I don't blame her for not liking to be crated at night but she's going to have to get used to it, especially as per my previous paragraph!

Cats are SO CALMING!!! Please give your little ones virtual cuddles from me.

Sorry to hear about no voice, Pamela, hope you get it back very soon!

Have a good day all!

Re: Wednesday 3rd

Thanks for sorting the weather Kazz! The roads were OK too although getting off the right bit of the M6 is more complicated than it used to be......as is getting back on it. It was odd not seeing my FIL and OH is a bit subdued as it is the first Christmas visit since we lost him.

Hope you get your voice back Pamela ad that Dora stops chewing and howling soon Angie!
BTW-isn't it Thursday........?

Re: Wednesday 3rd

Angie . . . I have to be honest and say I would have given up by now. Good on you for persevering.

Today has been a mix of errands + a visit to the hidden gem which is the Museum of Reading! Dropped lots of toys and unwanted gifts off at the CP shop first who are stuffed to the gills with post-Christmas clear outs. Speaking to the manager there it seems the shop is doing a great trade but the cats and kittens moving through fostering into rehoming is painfully slow and the waiting list is ever-growing.

Sebi lost his first baby tooth last night which officially now classes him a no longer my little baby but a big boy. Or so he tells me

And that's about it! I'm off to bed to read a bit more of Danny Baker's autobiography now

Edit to say, Pamela I usually get laringytis (nasty) about twice over a winter but this year instead I have been 'blessed' with bronchitis and a (so far) 2-month long cough. Hope you get your voice back soon.
