The fourth of May in about a hundred years...

...the earth is gna be hit by a comet apparently

According to a 'scientist/astrologist' who was just on ITV1's 'this morning' on the fourth of may in a hundred years or so's time Earth will be hit by a comet which would have the potential to do serious damage! (I hear dinosaurs again!)
Whether its true or not who knows, we probably wont be here to see it anyway

Did anyone else watch this BTW?

I don't believe they can predict something with that degree of accuracy. 100 years, ok, fair enough (although I suspect even then there'd be a margin of error) but certainly not down to the day.

Was it the film Armageddon where they blew up a meteorite so they would save the earth?

Have to agree with Snoof. And the fact that so many of these 'warnings' have been and gone with nothing - and whatever came of the millennium bug?!

I went to nasa 3 years ago on a hoilday with my parents and they say no one can perdict when a coment or astriod can hit cause nasa and other spcae programs (russias and others) only cover 5% of space, they say the most they can warn us is in between 1 hour - 14 days its happens it happens lol
