He could of belonged to someone else because he wasn't scared of humans he wanted to be picked up all the time and loved. He does get a little jumpy and is a little nervous at times.
Jake was amazingly thin when he was found, I couldn't even bring myself to hold him because he was soooo thin you could see and feel his spine sticking out! (Ive never ever seen a cat as thin before and his feet looked like they were cracked underneath but they weren't (the vet said that could of been due to the fact he was VERY dehydrated. He hardly had any energy either, he would just lie there and and fall asleep but now he's a totally different cat, he's a lot heavier and loves to play and has loads of energy.
So yeah he was either a stray or had a home and got lost or kicked out. There wasn't many house round where he was found and they did ask people if they knew who owned him and no one knew.
He's a darling, im so glad he's healthier now.
