Nails

How often do they need trimming?

And how much should I cut off?

Do I need to start whilst they are this young? 6/7 weeks old.

Thanks

Re: Nails

Are you wanting to trim them for any particular reason? It isn't necessary to trim their claws, I'd just provide them with a good scratching post

Re: Nails

Cassie has had her nails clipped once in her 9 years and that was by the vet, due to a damaged claw....

Re: Nails

I cut my cats claws as they seem to get very long. But only when they need it. Which isn't very often

Re: Nails

I take my Alfie to the vets about every 4 weeks to have his claws trimmed. He is an indoor cat and even though he has posts he does need to have them trimmed as they get too long for him and get stuck in carpets when he is walking.
