Freeeeezing Saturday!

Brrrrrrrrrrr - taters and a half this morning. OH's welly boots and socks frozen this morning. He's taken Monty over the fields. I scrambled an egg for Monty this morning, felt he needed something warm in his tummy, I had porridge. The sort of day when I used to warm the mash for the chickens.

Well, woke up with my right ear unblocked this morning. It's reblocked itself now, but I take the unblocking as a hopeful sign that all the glue is movable .... finally.

Have a good day everyone, keep smiling and warm if at all possible.

PS Some very early morning posts from our Kazz ..... were you just home or still at work?

Re: Freeeeezing Saturday!

Morning Angie,

Very very cold here today too. Erin and I had pancakes with mashed banana for breakfast as I thought it was a morning for something warm too!
They are forecasting 4-5 inches of snow for us today but I'm not convinced so far, it feels too cold somehow.
Darcy had extra blankets last night and Imogen spent most of it under our duvet which is very unusual for her!
Sounds like it's a good sign that your ear had unblocked overnight, hope it resolves for you soon.
Not much planned for today, we had thought of a long walk but I think we'll stay closer to home, even if it doesn't snow, Erin will get cold quite quickly out and about today. A day of housework and batch cooking I think!

Re: Freeeeezing Saturday!

Reminds me ........... must put the camcorder on charge, just in case we get any snow as Monty hasn't seen snow yet!

Baking sounds just the thing .... and I have some over-ripe bananas too. Hmmmm!

Sorry, meant to say "Morning Liz - good to see you!"

Re: Freeeeezing Saturday!

Morning ladies! A lovely crisp coating over the world outside my window this morning . . . and a lovely brekkie cooked up by OH (poached egg on spelt toast and a couple of rashers of grilled bacon). He's now headed off to Waitrose and I'm fighting for space on the PC with Sebi who is desparate to get back to his gold-stealing game I fear I'm about to loose . . .

Not got much planned for today, maybe fleece my spikey plants as they suffered in the snow last year and needed severe pruning. Tonight - weather permitting - we're off to the boys' school for a charity quiz (babysitter coming in to mind the lads); I have an IT project manager, a lawyer, a baker/chef and a senior HR manager on my team . . . I have high hopes that OH, who is an avid R4 listener and a retainer of much useless information will do me proud

Off for a shower now, and especially for Sebi who is begging me to put a 'blue face' into the post . . .

Re: Freeeeezing Saturday!

hello everyone.
Very cold here too, no snow yet, just hail and rain which has now frozen like glass, very dangerous to walk on.
Training went ok, Kwame was a little better i suppose but i'm glad it's done for a week. Malaika was a good girl but found the building a little too cold for her liking.
Been doing dolly stuff again this afternoon and trying to keep warm.

Re: Freeeeezing Saturday!

Hi all. Have the use of an iPad thing and am struggling a little with it tbh. Think. Y fingers are too big for touchscreens lol.
Freezing and very wet here today. House sit going not too bad, rayne has been a wee bit snappy the lat few days and discovered why today, she has ripped a law off, only the nailed left and a lot of blood. Bandaged and cleaned it, got her to the vet for some antibiotics and a buster collar.
Had a meeting with the Brianca charity this afternoon, we are having a cheese and wine night at the end of April and are organising a sponsored walk/treasure hunt for June.
Thank you to everyone who donated collars, Leeds etc, we hope to have the box sealed and sent at the end of this month. Pets at home had said they would collect some stuff for us too but havent. Still time if anyone has any old dog coats, pet blankets, toys etc which they would like to donate.
Thanx and have a good weekend xxxx
