Tick Bite Prevention WeekI came across this website and thought it worth posting here. It appears that the incidence of Lyme Disease in UK/Ireland is much higher than was thought. Hopefully campaigns such as this will make the general public and health professionals more aware of the dangers. http://www.tickbitepreventionweek.org/index.html The number of ticks has increased for many different reasons and those who visit the outdoors regularly, even gardens and parks may be at increased risk. Obviously those who have dogs, cats or other animals need to be extra vigilant. Don't panic! Use an insect repellent and cover up!
