Wet Wednesday

Hi all! OH and I have taken Monty for a longish walk at Prinstead this morning. Started off well enough, a bit windy but warm. Tide was nearly high - we were doing a new route and OH came out without the map, so we went miles out of our way, the rain came down and without any coats, we arrived back at the car rather soggy to say the least. Poor little Monty was wet and had gone rather too far on his lead. We did meet some nice doggy people with friendly dogs who stopped and chatted and made a fuss of Monty. Poor boy was so tired as we were nearing the walk's end that he even forgot to bark at the sheep - first time he's seen sheep.

Anyway all dried off now and had as a treat to ward off any chills coffee with a rum splash and two pieces of toast and peanut butter - very naughty but deserved!

OH and I have our last puppy class this evening - as before I will try to be at the quiz as quick as I can. I may have some bad news quiz-wise as we are hoping to sign up for the Junior class which runs after puppy class time, so will be even later. Will let you know when I find out for sure.

Have a good day peeps - stay dry!

Re: Wet Wednesday

Hello all... Where is everyone???

I'm just in from work. First day of course, so... Good fun, and a good group.... this could be quite exciting, depending on how it works out!

Hope last puppy class goes well Angie, though I'm sure people will be disappointed if you need to miss quiz for intermediate class... I also think we'd like you to take advantage of it, so...

Re: Wet Wednesday

Hi Angie, those to follow. Where are our regulars today? Still cooler than normal, only 19 C (66 F), sunny, quite cool in the shade. That gorgeous warm spell last week spoiled me .... still boxing, by myself as Chris is down country till Sunday; of course Leia is helping..... a helpful cat!

What a horrid walk; I do detest getting caught in the rain and soaked. I hope none of you take a chill, especially you as you've been ill recently! Chicken soup! Loved the bit about Monty too tired to bark at the sheep!

Re the quiz: it wouldn't be the same without you regularly. Personally I would have no objection whatsoever to temporarily switching the day for the duration of the junior class .... Tuesday, Thursday, whatever would suit the majority of the gang. We can discuss this tonight at the quiz.

Hi, Squirrel; you posted as I was still typing. Glad you're enjoying the course!

Stay dry, people.

Re: Wet Wednesday

Whoops, with all this talk about the quiz i have just realised i haven't yet done the questions, been busy looking at caravans online. Must set to and get them done, will do the quiz at 8.30 if that is ok with everyone to give angie time to get back.
I agree with Eileen and Kate about changing the day if need be.

Re: Wet Wednesday

Well I am home, been to the garden show today. Minus for the first time Mom and Dad neither would be able to get round and I had already got the tickets.....so I went meet up with a few friends inside and next door neighbours have had the other two tickets off me they are going tomorrow or Friday... ...forgot the camera though. Not a bad day overall. And guess what brought nothing. Shock horror!!!

Taken Sal for a nice walk and met a man who had lost his dog I was commiserating ith him when halfway through the conversation I realised we were talking at cross purposes...he was telling me he had lost his job!

See you all at the quiz.

Glad you enjoyed the garden show, Kazz, but no camera? Tsk! Crossed wires there talking to the man; there are people, I'm sure who'd rather lose their job than their dog ........

Re: Wet Wednesday

Course is the SUSS (support in understanding social skills) for people on the Autistic Spectrum Pamela. My department run it as part of getting them a job. First day is always 'interesting' as you don't know who will turn up, or what the dynamic will be like. Hopefully all those who turned up today will continue to come for the next 12 weeks, and we'll have a full house at the end... well, wishful thinking perhaps...
