Paignton Zoo

Visited here last week, I like the fact that the animals are in the open and not caged as such.

Open wide!

What super photos. That snake looks huge, love the goat. It is years since I've been to a zoo.

Thanks ..... if you look closely at the snake, there are two tails there but I can't figure out where the other head is!

So it is - I wonder if that is a head almost right in the middle of the coils?

Even 'tho it is two they are still pretty big.

Super pics, Mags! Love the reticulated pythons, and is that a croc in the first shot? Jaw looks too pointy for an alligator. That must have been a fun outing! Much nicer to see them not in cramped cages .....

Yes Eileen, the zoo has recently opened a 'Crocodile Swamp', it's very realistic too ........ here's a link to it.....

I have to admit to not liking crocodiles or alligators. To be admired at a distance I think. Don't forget "Never smile at a crocodile" (they'll see how inadequate human teeth are!)
