How do you sex a parrot fish?
We have a woman who comes into work who now has 4 parrot fish She thinks she may have a male and 3 females as one seems to be chasing the other 3.
I thought it was a bit like the gouramis whereby the anal and dorsil fins would be longer and more pointed but I may be wrong.

The female's tum goes red and yes they have breeding tubes that come down. Most parrot fish are infertile as they are man made.

Oh and the males normally bigger

the female tube is round at the end, and the males is sort if pointed...

Some parrots can be aggresive, and it may be the one has decided he is the boss!

They are a cross between a red devil and a green terror DM which are two species of Chiclids, are not a native fish, man made and because of this most of them are sterile...
