Sleepy Sunday...zzzzz

Morning everyone .....are you all having a lie-in this morning?

Well it's sunny here with very black cloud clouds dotted about the sky....... we had rain during night which has freshened the garden and revived the plants, hopefully it will stay dry this afternoon to do some more planting.

I have to keep my eye on Cassie at the moment as she is very attracted to next doors pond ........ there appears to be a lot of new baby fish in there this year and unfortunately she is spoilt for choice I do wish my neighbours would put some wire or netting over it as the temptation can be too much for poor Cassie!

Have a good day all!

Morning Mags.. was awake at 6.30am but didnt surface until around 9am!! What a lazy start to the day..

Looks overcast and rain threatening.. such a disappointment after yesterday's weather.

Just have food shopping to get today and then a friend is coming for dinner this evening.

Have a good day everyone.

Now I was up quite early but have been a busy bee until now.
A lazy day planned though. Sunday lunch of course, and there is a Garden & Craft Fair nearby which might be worth a visit - but that may be deferred until tomorrow which has a fairly dismal weather forecast; It's rather nice now, though still a bit 'April-y', if you know what I mean.

Raining again, only 13C, a thoroughly dismal day! And had to market as I'd spent most of yesterday gardening. At least the rain will be good for the new plants, although it's supposed to stick around till the end of the week, aaargh!

Emma, that BBQ sounds good! Shrimp creole here for me tonight. Mags, has Cassie ever fallen in that koi pond?

Enjoy the day!

Not that I know of Eileen!

Funny you say that though, when she stays out longer in the evening during the summer months, I sometimes start to worry where she is if she's been out for hours and many a time I have looked over into the pond, terrified that I may see her floating in there!!

Hi All

Been in garden all day. Few showers but not enough to hold me back.

Creosoted part of fence, loads of weeding - where do these little blighters come from! - planted out my peas, planted a beech hedge, put up willow trellis around the hedge and finally mowed some of the lawn. Phew, hoping surfing round Catsey will give me a rest.

Holiday Monday tomorrow, might be going to look at chicken houses, although a friend has offered to build one.

Alfie spent most of his day supervising me. I hope I passed

I think cats can swim if they absolutely have to! Didn't Bluebell fall in a pond once? I think Cassie's too smart to do that. I have an itty bitty lily pond in the garden, not deep at all, and one time Sultan was pursuing something, a butterfly I think, and thought he could walk on the lily pads ....one very wet very very angry cat!
