Impressed with Next flowers and their warning about lilies

Good to see that Next are now carrying a warning on their boxes of flowers that lilies can be harmful to cats

Excellent idea, more florists should do that. Do any of you have a cat/cats who actually eat houseplants or arrangements? None of mine ever have, even though I've always had a house full of them? None of mine would even eat the cat grass I got for them!!

My moggies would never bother with flowers but I am positive the Meezers would so for that reason I have not had any flowers in the house since I got them

Cassie will chew at the palm-like plants, she makes a real mess of them too

Broxi and Cooper try to eat cut flowers I bring into the house, yet wont touch my potted plants!! They do love their cat grass though.

Re: Impressed with Next flowers and their warning about lilies

That's great news Emma. Wish more retailers would follow their example. Mine have never shown any interest in plants. However, some time ago a siamese cat died after washing itself and ingesting lily pollen that had got onto his fur as he walked past a vase of them
