Pip, our guinea pig.

Pip, our old girl-she's nearly 6, went in for an ovariohysterectomy as she has developed 2 massive ovarian cysts. We had to go for an op, because if they burst inside her she would died, as well as all the pressure being put on her internal organs. During the op the vets discovered cysts on a kidney as well, so they removed it too.
She is recovering at the vet from the op and I can pick her up tonight along with a bag of meds to inject throughout the weekend. So, I am a happy woman she has survived the op, its been a very stressful day, but this is just the start, we need to get her eating and through the next 48-72 hrs, before I will feel a bit more confident of her chances.
It looks like I will have an exhausting weekend as she will need watching overnight and lots of TLC.
