Flakey Friday

Morning everyone, just having a catch up before leaving for work.
Hope you are all ok, human and otherwise.
Tonight Howard, chris and myself are off to see James Blunt, it's an outdoor concert in aid of the local hospice.
Hope it stays dry.

Re: Flakey Friday

Hi Shelley, and all to come later.
All fine here, uncle had a pacemaker fitted yesterday and is now sitting up in bed and chatting! he's made of tough stuff!
Weather is miserable, mizzle again, Pearla came in all damp and promptly cuddled up to my side!

Enjoy the James Blunt concert, hope the rain stays away.

see you later x

Re: Flakey Friday

Morning Shelley and PP and those who may come along later. Another glorious morning here, but not forecast to last the day ..... hope it stays dry for JB, Shelley. Good news about your uncle, PP - it truly is amazing what can be done nowadays. Hope he continues to improve.

Gardening man here today. He has brought his ladders along and will be harvesting the plums from our wild plum tree .... they don't have a wonderful taste but are quite nice, though no good for fruit spirit. Our neighbour has told us that a branch is hanging over their side, either from the weight of fruit or it could be a damaged branch, so he'll be looking at that too.

Monty to the vet later this afternoon for his 2nd booster and also he is licking a front leg a lot and there is a strange lesion-like patch so we'll get the vet to look at that too. It's never problem-free having pets! We thought he was a bit out of sorts yesterday.

Have a good day folks. According to the forecast for this area, we may get rain tonight but it should clear through by tomorrow .......... with any luck.

Is anyone likely to see the tour de France?????

Re: Flakey Friday

Last day in pre-prep for the youngest. He's off to 'main school' in September. It's still the same school but they do things totally differently for the older ones - and he gets to wear a blazer. Heading off to his prizegiving ceremony in an hour.

Also starting to gear up for our holiday - in a week's time we shall be en route to Italy for 3 weeks via the French motorways. We will be having a house sitter living in for the duration as I don't think the cats will wear being elsewhere for that length of time.
