Boysmum, you may have missed the fact that Angie and I have been commenting regularly about this; the cat food companies would grearly inrease profits if they'd sell the gravy only! ALL mine over the years eat it first. Maybe someone should start a petition, doubt if it would do any good, though.... |

Ours wont eat the gravy. Amber eats it all, Tim eats the jelly first and leaves the meat as dry as the day it was cooked I notice that little Mindy is a jelly gobbler as well |

My daughter works as a unit specialist with the cats for Waltham Pet Nutrition where whiskas, Sheba, etc are tested on the cats. They are actually given various jellies first before they add the meat, most turn their noses up at just being given jelly! Part of my daughters job is making up the jelly! They are given the meat later on in the day as they wouldn't be able to give them just jelly all the time as this wouldn't contain all the nutrients they need. It takes a long time and a lot of taste trials, weighing the cats, monitoring their health, giving them choices etc, before a new product finally gets on the shelves. There are 300 cats there and the best looked after cats I have ever seen! |

boys mum! We will have you to thank! I notice that there is a gravy only product for dogs! You never know about the name - but it may not translate into other languages. |

My girl eats licks all the gravy off and then my boy comes and finished the chunks, it's a setup that seems to work well for them, and nothing gets wasted. I am glad they are looked after Kim, my sis refuses to buy the big names due to the fact that they are tested on animals, (obviously!)..and what is purported to be in them. I can't comment on any of this myself as I haven't done the research so am totally oblivious,..but it's good to hear these cats are treated well. Do you know what happens to them when they are retired Kim..? |

Ok, I know I am not Kim and correct me if I am wrong but I once read about waltham center (they have it for dogs too) and I think animals are there for the rest of their lives - they make senior food too and I presume they also want seniors there? (Cause I know they also have pregnant and nursing cats and kittens) |
