A friend's puppy - so sad

A couple of weeks ago a family quite near me bought a cocker puppy from the same breeder as my boy Morgan, they named him Henry.

I've never met such a chilled, laid-back little doglet! such a handsome boy too, a lovely blue roan with a beautiful face. Morgan and I had a nice little play-date one morning. I was so impressed with wee Henry who slept well at night from the word go and wasn't into chewing fingers and feet, the perfect companion for A's five year old son.

Yesterday Henry was rushed to the vet as he had collapsed, they did everything possible but it looks like he had somehow contracted hepatitis He deteriorated overnight and this morning they had to make the decision to have him PTS. He was 12 weeks old

It's just so unfair! He was well-bred, from health-tested parents who had passed all the genetic tests for the breed and he'd had the first part of his vaccinations. I hope there really is a Rainbow Bridge and that he's running around playing with other dearly-loved pets.
