A Bit Of a Rant. What do you think?

As you know my son has just come back from his second tour in Iraq. He got back on Friday night after traveling for over 30 hours.
Before they left Iraq they were told they would be going to Aufghanistan no latter than January next year. (they may still get called back to Iraq). They are going to Belise for training but dont know when.
Normally when they finish a tour they go onto leave for diffrent reasons. Mainly to unwinde and spend time with there familys.
Because all the regiments have been amalgimated there not getting there leave for another couple of weeks. These lads are burnt out. They didnt want to be amalgamated and moral is low. I think it's so unfair. As I said they are burnt out doing over 40 hour shifts over there, Then not to get leave to take part in prossesions. No wonder they want to get out.
Rant over.

Those poor soldiers should have an extensive amount of time to rest up, relax, and enjoy "normal" life for a while...

I think that is awful Jac.....they certainly need time to unwind and enjoy life again after an experience like that....

He's put his papers in to get out but it will take about a year. They have just been told that they go on leave on the 23rd.
