My mouse needed a friend

It's been about a year and a half since my mouse's cagemate went to the rainbow bridge. Honestly, when we got them they were going to be feeders for a snake and when the snake died they just kind of wound up pets. I've grown quite fond of my remaining mouse and educating myself more on their care. One thing I found in my research is mice are social and really appreciate a buddy. So I decided to pick her up a girlfriend today to talk about mousie issues and such.
Here's the new baby!

After about ten minutes of establishing dominance, my oldie started grooming the newbie. She's kind of forgotten her mousie manners being alone so long But I think it's working out. They are establishing boundaries and getting to know each other. I hope it spices up her life. She's two which is getting kinda old for a mouse and I think she needs it.
