Vet visit today!

Fluffy is in to be sedated for blood tests, nail clip and dematting. She is in heart failure and just gets too stressed otherwise, still it's a risk for her to be sedated too, but seems the better choice in the end. Waiting nervously for a call to hear how she got on.
Next Mr Tomsk was in for his booster, all well there but Helga after an examination ended up getting a blood test. We think she may be hyperthyroid- she's not even 10 yet and I've also booked in Sooty for a test on Thursday because he has started yeowling in the night- he's not 12 yet!
It will be next week before we hear about Helga but if she us the vet feels she will be a goog candidate for an op. I'll let you know how we get on.

Re: Vet visit today!

Thank you, it's been a long day.
The results for Fluffy are that her thyroid levels are too high again, the concern is that her thyroid is growing again as she has had part removed. We have increased her felimazole but may have to consider another op in the future.
Helga is also hyperthyroid, so we are starting her on Vidalta to stabilise her and may then consider a thyriodectomy because she is young to have this problem and fairly healthy so an ideal candidate for the op.
I have also had Sooty on for a blood test today as I have a sneaky feeling he may be hyperthyroid too- hopefully I'm wrong because Helga bring the number up to 5!
