Thanks, Kazz, so do I, frankly, although mine is messier and more disorganized, but then so am I! I do think the new boxwoods add an elegant touch, though. A tad too formal for me. |

I love box - but not as much as my neighbour . . . she is total expert on them and rears them from tiny cuttings, and I have to admit she has some lovely specimens! I do like neat gardens (sorry), if/when my garden is messy I do fret |

No offense taken, Yola! As Kazz pointed out, one man's jungle is another person's Eden! Christopher's garden is really lovely, but that formal style just isn't me. I do envy him that gorgeous redbud tree, though! |

I do know what you mean! My neighbour has a typical English Country garden - all crammed into a small townhouse environment . . . I look out on her patch and wish I had the time/talent/energy to create what she has it's lovely (pond, roses, formal borders, box galore, delicate flowering borders)! But totally impractical when it comes to small kids, low maintenance and time-starved adults like us. Despite my love of 'neat' I can still very much appreciate a more wild garden - it's just that I would despair of owning it and would want to tame it - just my love of getting 'ducks in order' I suppose |

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a real English country garden if it came with a real English country gardener!!! It;s the maintenance...full time job! |
