I have posted some nice pics, but don't really have any tips I just point & press post & paste Seriously I just have a nice camera & I try & look at the background wherever possible, & I just snap away - I do take loads & post the best ones. Another thing I once heard is that if you are taking pictures of eg animals you should try & get doen to their level, so that you are not peering down onto them, so i usually crouch down a bit if i'm taking pictures of the cats in the pens. Maybe Dawn will offer some advice, she's very good with her camera. Here's a couple I've taken previously - [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] |

With Smudge on the bed, I thought it was nice as it's a nice plain pale background & as you can see she is quite dark. With the 2 kits, they were lying in a blue basket, with a white bed & it just made a lovely photo. I do zoom in quite close too. Hope that helps, From Smudgley - who is trying her best to be helpful, but really hasn't got a clue what she's talking about when it comes to photography |

With the 2 kittens & the blue background, they were in a basket in the garage. So not the best light in there, the flash is automatic on my camera, so it will use it if it needs to, my husband took it - but he just pointed it at them & we always make silly noises (high piched squeek) to grab their attention. However i do know a photographer once that was doing a pet promotion, made a squeeky sound to get the GSD's attention & ended up having stitches in his lip after the GSD freaked out & bit his face. Don't think your pussy cats would do that though. I also find it much easier to take natural photos, ie when they are snoozing or lying still, much better than trying to get them to pose etc. |
