Do so hope all goes well boys mum. Give ronnie some calming words from Merlin, who's a very good boy at the vet - it's the car he's not keen on!

Re: ronnies due for his vet visit

Getting them in is a real problem! I hide mine behind the door up-ended, then grab the cat right after breakfast and pop him/her in before they realize what's happening. And I let the vet worry about extracting him/her...

I hope all goes well at the visit for him!!

Re: ronnies due for his vet visit

i leave the carrier open in the hallway, and reggie promptly climbs in and has a sleep in it LOL
ronnie manages to splay all 4 legs out and puts up a struggle, but once hes in there hes fine. falls asleep in the car, its reggie whos vocal.
oh well hoping 2morows the last one.

Many well wishes for Ronnie tomorrow. I hope he's given the all clear!

Mine are OK to get into the carrier . . . just have to shake basket vigorously at the vet to get them out Except Ferdy who did the 4-legs-splayed trick. And then tried to eat his way out

Oh, that reminds me of something I haven't thought of in years! When I got my first cat as an adult, I didn't have a proper cat carrier. So I used an old wicker picnic basket....anyone remember those? Su-Ling the Siamese was OK going to the vet, although he bellowed as only an angry Siamese can; but coming home he decided enough was enough, and proceeded to try to tear his way out...we got home just in time: he had a hole big enough to get his head out and one paw!!!

Re: ronnies due for his vet visit

Yes, my baskets are wicker. The smaller basket still bears the scars of the bruiser boy.

I hasten to add, this was the 1st ever time I put him into the carrier. He has a bad head wound and was still entire hence his agression/fear. Once he'd been done he would slink in without a murmur
