Remembering Merlin

It was four years ago that Merlin passed. He is forever in my memories, he was sometimes loving, sometimes grumpy and never predictable! He saw me through sad times and I loved him. I still miss you my dear old soldier.

He lived to be 23 and a half years old, and was Uncle Merlin here on Catsey, and the reason I joined the forum so I am grateful to him for that too, even though it was his long standing health problems that prompted me to search for answers on the Internet. Bless you dear Merlin - you were never much of a one to like a cuddle, but I send cuddles to you anyway.

This was scanned from a photo of Merlin when he was a young boy, at his very best.

It cannot be 4 years already......although I know it is.
He looks proper handsome and ready for action in that picture Angie don't think we have seen that picture before have we but he looks gorgeous in it.
Always loved his markings and colour.

RIP old chap.

Re: Remembering Merlin

Bless him, he led you to Catsey before he left you No cat who has shared our lives ever really leaves us, however long or short that time. 23+ years is a long time to live side by side with a cat, you must have many, many fond memories of Merlin. xx

Re: Remembering Merlin

Dear Merlin, they take a huge piece of you with them don't they.. but, especially with a name like Merlin, the magic lives on...
What a great age, amazing. I do believe that cats get wiser as they get older, Merlin must have been a wise old gent. My thoughts are with you on this special anniversary. xx

Re: Remembering Merlin

Fond memories of one of the first cats I met here on Catsey. Such a lovely old lad, I know how much you miss him Angie and how he still has a special place in your Heart. Playing at the Bridge now, happy and healthy. X
