Constantly Being Sick???

Hi All

Unfortunately I have a poorly cat. Laurel is 8yrs old & normally fit & well. But for the last week she has been being sick. I took her to the vets on Tuesday & he said he wasnt sure if it was her kidneys or stomach. The vet gave her a anit sickness injection along with a anti inflammatory & anti biotic injection. However she is still being sick. Took her back last night same injections again & they also took some blood. We have got to go back tonight to find out blood results & for the same lot of injections again.

I am worried as she it not really lethargic, still tries to eat (so i have put her on chicken & rice), but follows me every where which is unlike Laurel. I am wondering if she has a tumour??

Any suggestions would be great.

Many thanks

Hard to say, the blood results are going to help you loads.
Last time I had a kitty sick like this the bloods showed kidney issues so we treated her with antibiotics and fluids and retested the blood till she was fine again. But it could be a number of things with your kitty, you really won't know until bloodwork is back. You may also want to set up xrays.

Sorry to hear Laurel is poorly, like Tink says the blood work will hopefuly give you some answers.
My Cat was sick when he became hyperthyroid.

Re: Constantly Being Sick???

Hi all

Update on Laurel. We have been to the Vets tonight & her bloods are fine. She had another 3x injections again & she bit me twice so i think she is feeling a bit better lol. The Vet thinks that she may have got hold of something that has really turned her stomach.

Also she hasnt been sick since yesterday, so fingers crossed she is on the mend. I will keep her on the Chicken & Rice for a couple more days though.

Thanks all for your replies.

Hope she's more herself soon. Biting can be a sign that she's feeling better!
