No trees down here, but wind is howling and rain is lashing and it's really viscious. MIL lives on Hayling Island almost on the point so we're hoping she will be OK . . . |

Bit of a sleepless night for me as the wind howling kept me awake. We have blue sky here at the moment, bit breezy still - had a huge thunderclap a short while ago and hail but it's cleared up since then. More to come later evidently. Are you OK Mags? |

No damage here and we're all ok, thanks Angie. The heavy rain and gale force winds throughout the night resulted in disturbed sleep though. I always like to leave a window slightly open in the bedroom during the night and I woke about 3ish with the shivers......... the curtains were blowing madly and the window had been blown open so much that I could easily have climbed out of it Winds of up to 80mph have been forecast for the SW today........ Batten down the hatches everyone! |
