Jack Frost Sunday

Morning all.

A heavy frost here last night and still around this morning.

Not really got anything planned however I am going to start to look into a plan that means I can reduce my hours at work. Mom and Dad are not getting any younger and I am finding looking after them and now my Aunt (mom's younger sister 74) who has learning disabilities is getting a bit much with working full time nights.

Yola sorry to her about Myska's cold never considered a cat getting a cold.
Everyone stay warm and dry.

That's weird I am taking my tree down today. Just thought I should have posted that......... Its kind of a tradition in the family the tree and decorations go up once a year and by going into new year that's next year........Weird eh? But I am not brave enough to break it.

You are brave heading to ikea........

Re: Jack Frost Sunday

Afternoon Kazz, Pamela and those who look in later.

Yes, heavy frost here too but a lovely bright day. OH has gone off to take the dogs for a walk along the beach at West Wittering with our dog trainer and some other folk. The dogs love to have a run along the beach. My back is not so bad now but I'm still cuddling a hot water bottle, don't want to give it up!

Do the Christmas tree police call if you take the tree down too early? I thought that is must be down before Twelfth Night but that's all, so you could take it down before then, no worries. We didn't have a tree this year ..... just a mini fibre-optic thing on the window sill.

I've flouted loads of Christmas rules this year ..... like no pressure from house-cleaning; not vast amounts of food and no loads of presents. Still have managed to have food to use up though and some things have gone in the freezer this morning.

Anyway, as a result, I had the first Christmas Day ever where I've felt relaxed and enjoyed the day. All over now for another year, but I know it can be done!

Have a lovely day folks.

I really enjoyed Christmas this year too less food shopping no major action plan and same for presents I intend to get ahead on Christmas shopping for next year as they are all really grown up and have set taste and dislike so stick to that rule.

I am with you enjoyed it very much. Hope the West Wittering walk went well always sounds lovely that word "West Wittering"

Re: Jack Frost Sunday

Hello all, we are safe back from a drive to Birmingham to see OH's family. Glad to be back as it was a scary drive this morning with ice on even the main roads! A car overtaking us on the A14 started to slip and slide on the ice and we had to slow down to let a van which had been following it through- it had been driving too close! All three vehicles managed to stay unscathed but it was scary.
We keep the tree up for as long as possible- I love the smell and it cheers things up. We both have next week off- OH's place closes down and I am making sure I use up all my Annual leave as I am currently working out my notice due to being made redundant. I'm not really motivated at work at the moment so am enjoying taking it easy.

The wet and windy weather is due back tomorrow- hope all stay safe and warm!
